Care & workmanship support
Keep the conversation going after the drum comes home.
Effective October 21, 2026
Start with the actual drum.
For a problem or care question, email justin@pazdrums.com with the drum name or order reference, when the issue appeared, and a description. Include clear photos or a short recording when useful. Stop playing if you notice a split, a loose component, or another condition that could worsen with use.
Please wait for return or repair instructions before shipping the drum or arranging work at our expense. Justin will discuss the appropriate next step and any cost before paid work begins.
A problem deserves a proper look.
A defect, shipping damage, wrong instrument, or material mismatch with the agreed description should be raised promptly. We will assess the issue and arrange an appropriate repair, replacement by agreement, or refund where required. One-of-a-kind instruments may not have an identical replacement.
These pages do not offer an additional fixed-term or lifetime written warranty. They do not disclaim, shorten, or replace statutory warranties or other rights under applicable law. Any additional written warranty offered for a particular sale must be supplied in full before purchase.
Know what can change with use.
Wood grain, hide markings, and hand-carved details vary. Natural heads and wood respond to surroundings; tuning and feel can change with temperature, humidity, use, and wear. Routine tuning and worn-head replacement are different from a defect in how the drum was supplied.
Rain, direct heat, falls, added products, and alterations can damage a drum. If damage was caused by one of those events, paid work may be needed; that does not automatically remove rights for an unrelated defect. A natural-head failure is not dismissed simply because the material is hide.
For non-covered maintenance or damage, ask for an assessment. Repair availability, price, delivery costs, and timing are confirmed individually; there is no promise of free lifetime tuning or repair.
A little care goes a long way.
Keep the drum protected from rain and extreme conditions, use clean dry hands, and carry it in suitable protective packing or a padded bag. Follow guidance for its actual head material and finish.
Before applying oil, cleaners, heat, or changing rope tension, ask about the particular instrument. The learning guides are a useful introduction; they do not replace instrument-specific advice.
