Your ideas, Justin’s hands, and an agreement before the first cut.
Effective October 21, 2026
Make the idea clear.
A conversation is the starting point, not an order or reservation. Tell Justin about fit, playing needs, sound preferences, materials, carving, colors, budget, and timing.
Before payment, the written quote identifies the seller and customer, the build specifications, drum price in USD, applicable tax, shipping or pickup arrangements, the deposit and balance, an expected shipment or pickup date, and the cancellation terms. Any quote expiry is stated in that quote.
Photos and recordings help describe the goal. Natural grain, hide markings, hand carving, screen colors, and recording conditions vary. Any essential feature or performance requirement should be agreed in writing; an inspiration image is not a promise of an identical instrument.
A deposit with a clear purpose.
The standard deposit is 30% of the quoted drum price, credited toward that price. It is requested only after you accept the written brief and schedule. Tax and shipping are shown separately in the quote. We will not use a generic deposit payment detached from an agreed build.
The remaining drum price, together with agreed tax and delivery charges not already paid, is due after completion and your review of the final photos and sound sample, before shipment or pickup. If your build needs different staged payments, that requires a separate written agreement before payment.
Arrange your build with Justin through a written quote and agreed payment instructions. Online checkout is not available. Do not send card details, bank details, or payment through the inquiry form.
Agree on changes before they happen.
If you want to change the build, contact Justin before the next stage. Changes to carving, materials, size, or finish may affect the price and shipment date. Neither a price increase nor a later shipment date takes effect without your written agreement.
Some work cannot be reversed once a shell is shaped or carved. Justin will explain the practical options before proceeding. If a choice or approval is needed from you, we will discuss it and agree on any schedule change rather than silently moving the deadline.
Fair cancellation accounting.
If you cancel before work starts and before custom materials are committed, your deposit is fully refunded.
If you change your mind after that point, any retained amount is limited to reasonable, documented, unrecoverable custom-material costs and completed labor at the rate disclosed in the accepted quote, up to the deposit paid. We will provide an itemized explanation, account for recoverable value and applicable credits, and refund the unused portion promptly. There is no automatic forfeiture of the entire deposit and no additional cancellation penalty.
If Justin cannot complete your drum, we refund all payments for that uncompleted order. If shipment will be delayed beyond the agreed date, you may accept the revised date or cancel for a prompt full refund; the change-of-mind deductions above do not reduce that refund. Any greater rights under applicable law remain in place.
See and hear it before it travels.
When the drum is complete, Justin will share current photos and a recording of that instrument. Raise any difference from the agreed brief before paying the balance so it can be addressed.
Custom drums do not have a change-of-mind return after completion, but problems with defects, damage, or failure to meet the agreed specifications are still covered by applicable consumer rights and the support process.
